THEY SEE ME ROLLIN’ THEY HATIN’.

THEY SEE ME ROLLIN’ THEY HATIN’.

I thoroughly enjoy the new Doctor Who, but I do occasionally miss the low-budget appeal of the old school version. A screen full of thousands of flying Daleks is cool to look at, but it does lack a certain charm.

EDIT: Since my wife suggested it, and Rebecca from Skepchick.org requested it, I put this image on a t-shirt. They will be available until I get the Cease And Desist order from the BBC.

EDIT THE SECOND: I’m going to tack a dollar onto the Cafepress.com price for these shirts, and donate the dollars to the fund to help skeptic Robert Lancaster and his familly. Mr. Lancaster recently suffered a stroke, and mounting medical bills will only make his recovery tougher. So buy a shirt, and help out a true skeptical hero. If you’d prefer to donate directly, you can do that at SkepticsUnite.com.

EDIT AGAIN: After a couple of requests, I’ve created a dark version of the shirt graphic, and made it available on a selection of white and light-colored shirts. If you’re not the black t-shirt type, it’s your lucky day.

just bought the shirt…hope you don’t get shut down before i get it ;)

  6. Hey, thanks. I figure you’ve got a while before the BBC notices me. I’d love a picture of somebody wearing it, if you feel so inclined.

  7. [...] Yup. Couldn’t have said it better myself: [...]

  8. Nothing like a plug from Phil Plait to make your bandwidth run screaming for the basement closet.

  9. HCN says:

Well, all is goodness… I ordered one for my fourteen year old daughter (who loves the new Doctor Who). I don’t think she will let me post a picture of her wearing it. I am glad it will help with the Lancasters.

  10. Good for you, supporting your daughter’s appreciation for quality entertainment. I hope she likes the shirt.
