If the Democrats can’t get their shit sufficiently together to win the White House this year, they might as well just pack up the whole operation and quit politics altogether. After the last eight years, the Democratic candidate should be able to beat any Republican nominee by a healthy margin. If the Republicans manage at the last minute to put together a Jesus/Lincoln ticket, the Democrat should still prevail. If he doesn’t, every single politician, staffer, strategist and campaign donor should turn in their last time sheet, leave a forwarding address, and go get a real job for about a decade.
